Resonant District · Artist Development
Build the career around the music.
Artist development starting at $0 a month. We earn when we grow your business.
- 20% of new outside bookings we directly source
- 0% of shows you book yourself
- 0% of Resonant District shows
- Nothing on your masters, publishing, or the work that was already yours
Invitation-only. At Development and Foundation our all-in take never exceeds 20% of the booking income we source for you. Partner can run above 20% at lower volumes, because Partner adds full booking representation — a different job, and opt-in.
Why Resonant District
Traditional management is built on relationships and booking. We do that too — but we also already run the live production, the content, the distribution and the event business itself. Every asset an artist normally assembles from six different people, we run under one roof.
This is that machine, pointed at one artist at a time.
- Live events — three recurring Denver series across bass, open-format dance and daytime. Live dates already on the calendar, and working relationships across multiple rooms.
- A studio — Resonant District Backstage: long-form interviews and live mixes cut in the room, published and promoted. Episodes are booked on their own merits and are not part of any gear.
- Distribution — a YouTube channel, a Mixcloud channel, a site built to rank, a link-in-bio hub and an email list.
- Production — RD Productions: sound, lighting and an operator, for when you run your own show.
- An operator — twenty years of running operations and P&Ls at executive level, pointed at your calendar, your rates and your margins.

What we take, and what we never take
We take a share of
- Bookings we source — 20% at Development, 15% once a fee starts
- Sponsorship and brand deals we source — 20%
- Margin on merch we design and produce for you to sell at your own shows — 10%
We never take a share of
- Shows you book yourself
- Resonant District’s own nights — 0%, at every gear, including merch sold at them
- Anything that came from your own relationships — whatever it pays, however long it runs
- Masters, publishing, streaming or your artwork
What it actually adds up to
The fee is only part of it, so here is the whole number rather than the flattering half of it:
| If we source, per month | Development | Foundation | Partner |
|---|---|---|---|
| $7,000 | $1,400 (20%) | $1,400 (20%) | — |
| $10,000 | $2,000 (20%) | $1,850 (18.5%) | $2,250 (22.5%) |
| $15,000 | $3,000 (20%) | $2,600 (17.3%) | $3,000 (20%) |
Development is a flat 20%, whatever you earn. Foundation starts at exactly 20% and falls from there — which is why we do not move you up until $7,000, the point it becomes cheaper for you. Partner costs more because it is more: we are running your bookings, your calendar and your advances, and you opt into that rather than being moved into it.
Optional add-on: District Social
We publish your content so you can spend your time on the music. You keep the conversation. Available at any gear, including free Development — a flat monthly fee, completely separate from the share.
What it costs
- $250 / month — 12 posts a month across Instagram, TikTok and Facebook
- Founding rate: $175 / month for the first five artists, fixed for 12 months
- Thirty days’ notice to drop it, on its own, any time
How it works
- We build the calendar and write captions in your voice
- Nothing goes out without your yes — you approve every post
- We never hold your passwords. You connect through each platform’s own sign-in and can cut our access whenever you like
- We never reply, comment or DM as you. Your voice stays yours
Built from the clips and photos we already shoot at our nights, plus anything you send us — it is publishing, not a design studio. One honest limit: no scheduling tool can add trending in-app audio, so if a post needs it, we flag it and you post that one yourself.
The conflict, and how we handle it
Resonant District is a promoter. We book our own nights. If we also represent you and take a share of your bookings, there is an obvious question: are we going to pay you less on our own stage because we are on both sides of it?
Roster artists are booked on Resonant District nights at the same rate we would pay anyone else in that slot, and we take zero percent of those fees, at every gear. The monthly fee does not buy you a booking, and cancelling it does not cost you one. We also disclose the relationship to any venue, promoter or partner we introduce you to. If that ever feels like it is costing you a fair deal, say so and we will step out of the negotiation entirely.
How it works
- Fit call — 45 minutes, free, no pitch deck. Sometimes the answer is no.
- Baseline — before anything is signed we write down what you are earning now and who you are already working with. That list is what our share can never touch, and the numbers are the only way either of us can tell in a year whether this worked. It is a record, not a deduction: we do not subtract it from anything, because work that was already yours is never counted in the first place.
- First ninety days, in writing — what gets built, in what order, by when.
- Month one is a build month — strategy, EPK, brand assets, channels. Front-loaded so you own something real immediately.
- Quarterly we check whether it is working. If it is not, we change the gear or we stop.
Questions we get asked
What is the catch on the free gear?
There is not one, but be clear what you are giving up: 20% of the growth we create, and the sunset if you leave. If we never book you anything and never land you a brand deal, 20% of nothing is nothing, and you have lost only the time on a monthly call. We are betting our hours that it will not go that way.
What exactly counts as a booking you sourced?
One where the introduction, the pitch or the relationship came from us. If a promoter you have worked with for years books you directly, that is yours and we take nothing. The definition goes in the agreement so it is never an argument later.
Can I leave?
Thirty days notice, any time, including from the free gear. You keep everything we built for you. The only thing that continues is the sunset — 15% then 10% then 5% over three years, on relationships we actually brought you, and nothing else.
What if I never reach $7,000 a month?
Then you stay at Development and keep paying nothing. There is no clock on it.
I already have a manager. Can I still do this?
Development and Foundation, yes — content, EPK, distribution and production sit underneath management rather than replacing it. Partner is a representation deal, so that one needs a conversation first.
The rest of the terms
Billing, gears and exits
- Thirty days written notice to end it, at any gear including Development. No minimum term, no early-exit fee.
- Development has no fee and no card on file. Nothing is billed unless and until you reach Foundation.
- Foundation starts automatically after three consecutive months above $7,000 of work we sourced — and we tell you before the first billed month, showing the figures that triggered it. Never a surprise charge.
- Gears step back down the same way if earnings fall for three consecutive months.
- Partner is by mutual agreement, never automatic.
- Fees are billed monthly in advance. Share is invoiced monthly in arrears against documented earnings.
- Development lapses if you miss two consecutive monthly calls or stop supplying what we need to do the work. No invoice, no hard feelings — but we will not hold a seat nobody is using.
Exclusivity, ownership and the sunset
- No exclusivity. Work with any agent, promoter or manager, in any market. No radius clause.
- One narrow right of first refusal, from Foundation up: if another company offers you a management or booking-representation agreement, tell us and give us five business days to match it. It does not apply to individual gigs, labels, publishers or anything else.
- You keep everything of yours — masters, publishing, artwork, name and likeness. We are not a label.
- The sunset: if you leave, we keep 15% in year one, 10% in year two and 5% in year three of earnings from relationships and deals we actually introduced. Nothing on anything we did not. After three years it is zero.
- Content we shoot is delivered to you in usable form. Post it, license it, monetise it however you like.
- Governed by Colorado law. Full agreement provided before signing; have your own attorney read it.
